It's the month of love, hearts, and everything pink! One of my favorite things about February is the plethora of pink that takes over the stores. From clothing to accessories to home decor, shopping through a sea of pink is seriously the best. To fit right in with this theme, the Taylor Swift merch store released the newest cardigan: The Lover cardigan.
Back in 2020, the Taylor Swift merch store released a cardigan to go a long with her album, folklore. Since then, more and more cardigans have been created to match the theme of other albums. However, in 2023 one of my favorite albums, Lover, had yet to receive it's cardigan companion. So, my talented mom came to the rescue and hand knitted me a Lover cardigan.
A couple weeks ago, when I saw the merch store's Lover cardigan, I couldn't believe how similar it was to the one my mom made me two years prior. It was almost identical, even down to the heart-shaped buttons, which I thought was really neat. To celebrate February, Galentine's Day, and Valentine's Day I'm sharing outfit ideas with my Lover cardigan (my mom's version).

Time to Twirl
Styling my Lover cardigan with a twirly mini skirt adds such a girly flair to my look. I paired the Blogilates Ballerina Skort with the Blogilates Ruffle Tank, which are two of the latest editions to my wardrobe; they're so versatile and absolutely love them As far as athleisure outfits go, these pieces took my outfit up a notch compared to traditional athletic leggings, but it's still ultra-comfy. Plus, this look is packed with maximum twirlability.
A Girly Denim Look
These sparkly jeans are actually one of my favorite pairs of pants. There's something about a Lover-themed outfit and sparkles that just go hand-in-hand. For an everyday girly outfit that doesn't consist of a skirt or dress, these Target Universal Thread Straight Leg Embellished Jeans are my go-to. I paired them with a lightweight pink floral print corset tank from Hollister to emphasize the pop of pink in my cardigan. Lastly, to tie in the sparkles I accessorized with a colorful rhinestone headband from Head Dress New York.
Match With Merch
What better way to style the Lover cardigan than with coordinating Taylor Swift merch? My pink Eras Tour shirt matches my cardigan oh-so-perfectly, so this was a must-wear! For a head-to-toe pink look, I wore the same Blogilates Ballerina Skort with this shirt, and then finished it off with my cardigan.
To opt for a dressier pick while adding more contrast to my outfit, I paired my pink Eras Tour shirt with my black Aerie Ruffle Skort, black tights, and well of course, my cardigan! One of my favorite bags I own is the Kate Spade Love Shack Heart Purse, which is the most perfect accessory for a Lover-inspired outfit. Seriously, I couldn't think of a better accessory. Plus, this charming purse with a hair bow, makes this outfit feel so ME..
A Cozy Lover Cardigan Look
Looking for ultimate comfort? This leggings look may be just what you're looking for. I took a more relaxed athleisure approach to this outfit. I chose pink Aerie leggings, which happened to be a perfect shade match with my Lover cardigan, and then I paired them with a coordinating sports bra. This sports bra is from Victoria's Secret Pink that I got back in 2019. I chose this specific bra because the pastel watercolor print matched the Lover aesthetic and reminded me of the background of the album cover. The best part? From coffee runs to yoga class, this outfit prepares me for whatever the day may bring.
